Title: Sales Finance Director

Reports to: Senior Director of Insights and Analytics

Date: 7/2024

Salary: $115,000 - $145,000 + bonus

JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Finance Director is responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and analysis to support the sales organization in achieving its goals. This role is critical in shaping our sales strategy, optimizing revenue, and ensuring financial transparency within the sales department. The Sales Finance Director will serve as a business partner to the Sales organization, offering proactive recommendations and solutions. This role will lead the Sales Finance department, overseeing and guiding the performance of team members.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does have direct supervisory responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and execute a comprehensive Sales Finance strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
• Provide financial leadership and guidance to the Sales Team, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Analyze sales performance and market trends to drive revenue growth.
• Collaborate with Sales leadership to set and monitor sales targets, quotas, and incentive structures.
• Work with the Data Solutions and Visualization Manager to establish regular reports and leverage them to inform sales decisions and strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and implement sales effectiveness initiatives.
• Serve as an extension of the Field Sales and National Accounts team to educate them on sales trends, expense management, and operating income performance.
• Manage and mentor a team of Sales Finance Managers within the Sales Finance department.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies in all sales finance activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 10 years of experience in Finance.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
• Proven experience in sales finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or a related role.
• Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills.
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with sales teams and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to align financial strategies with business objectives.
• Exceptional Excel skills. Exceptional presentation building skills.
• High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
• Experience with VIP is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
