Job Description

Title: National Accounts Sales Intern

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Department: National Accounts

Reports to: National Accounts Team

Date: 11/2023

Job Summary:

Works directly with the National Accounts Sales team and the assigned BeatBox Beverages territory,
wholesaler(s) and their sales staff to promote sales of BeatBox Beverages, achieve targeted
distribution and volume goals. Establish and maintain a professional sales relationship with key
retailers and distributors within the assigned territory.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but is subject to change.

  • Daily communication with the national account team.
  • Works against target lists built from goals and objectives.
  • Must be able to analyze and develop sales opportunities from the company-provided sales software
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with BeatBox Beverages' team, wholesalers, accounts, and consumers.
  • Conducts ongoing brand training with retailers and distributor partners.
  • Schedules and executes weekly promotions and samplings (where legal).
  • Assists at special events and festivals in the territory.
  • Performs administrative tasks as they are assigned (expense reports, monthly work calendar).
  • Maintains and improves BeatBox Beverages account standards including merchandising and quality assurance.
  • Maintain professional image and demeanor at all times
  • A weekly recap of activities with national account lead(s).
  • Maintains communication when needed with the marketing team, operations team, field sales team, distributor team, and key retailers.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Analytical Skills:Interns should have the ability to analyze market and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Able to convey information clearly, both in writing and verbally, and build strong working relationships.
  • Attention to Detail: Being detail-oriented is essential to ensure accuracy in proposals, agreements, and other documentation.
  • Sales Support: Interns may be required to provide sales support by creating presentations, reports, and sales materials. They should be proficient in Microsoft Office tools like PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Team Collaboration: Being a collaborative team player is important for assisting in the development and execution of national account strategies.

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree.
  • Able to work full-time; 40 hours per week.
  • Live in the market where a sales intern is required.
  • Must be 21 years old or over.
  • Self-starter/self-motivated
  • Reliable car and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; ability to work nights and weekends (work week not to exceed 40 hours).
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and sales skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Excellent oral, analytical, written, and communication skills.
  • Dynamic public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
