Title: Inventory Specialist

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Department: Operations

Reports to: Fulfillment and Warehouse Operations Manager

Salary: $75,000- $85,000+ bonus

Job Summary:

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the inventory reconciliation process to include both raw materials and finished goods from various co-manufacturing locations and the network of warehouse distribution centers located throughout the BeatBox network. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing all efficient and effective warehousing and inventory oversight, operational SOP compliance, compliance with quality standards, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

This role is critical to the organization as in ensures all raw and finished goods inventory is reconciled and accurate on a month-to-month basis and complies with both semi-annual and annual inventory processes with both the internal financial team and outside third-party auditors. The role will directly report to the Fulfillment and Warehouse Operations Manager and will also provide additional support to the fulfillment team which requires movement of finished goods and sample case products to various warehouses across the network, as well as working with warehousing personnel and members of logistic carriers who move BeatBox products across the network. This role will cross-functionally interact with all levels of leadership across the BeatBox organization. The role will entail 60%-70% of the time handling Inventory Control; and 30%-40% as a fulfillment controller.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but is subject to change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor Inventory Level:

  • o Count inventory to determine which items have low or excess stock, run comparisons against previous counts, analyze variances between counts and month-end closing.

    o Inspect product and stock levels to spot potential problems with incorrect facility counts; damages; theft.

    o Ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging supplies, coordinating closely with procurement and inventory management teams.

    o Coordination of ASN's from Co-Man's to warehouses, transfers between warehouses

  • Operations Management:

  • o Continuously review and manage operations at the various facilities to ensure the smooth operations and optimized efficiency.

    o Monitor performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and compliance around SOP's identifying areas for improvement.

    o Cost per unit tracking; bill analysis, review and approval.

    o Coordinate, track, trace marketing samples; investor parcel shipments.

  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • o Ensure that all products are stored and meet Beatbox's quality standards and specifications.

    o Implement and maintain quality control procedures, collaborating with quality assurance teams to address any issues promptly.

    o Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

    o Auditing of fulfillment order to ensure accuracy.

    o Batch/LOT tracing and sample sourcing for quality investigations.

  • Process Improvement:

  • o Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.

    o Continued analysis of current and future network with the goal of always improving processes to harvest efficiencies and reduction of costs.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

  • o Prepare and present regular reports on performance, including efficiency, quality, and safety metrics.

    o Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of SOP's, processes, procedures, and compliance records.

    o Facilitate regular scheduled meetings with warehousing partners to ensure goals are on track, review ongoing projects and discuss any improvement areas required.

    o Tracking and tracing of all shipments and inventory transactions.

    o Data entry and recording of all inventory transactions in tracker and ERP; inventory reconciliation

    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
    • At least 5-7 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a beverage or food manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and processes; receiving; tracking; storing and managing inventory.
    • Math skill proficiency to included counting inventory manually and/or with computer tools.
    • Product and inventory management certification a plus.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; determination of low or excess inventory levels and finding was to improve.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help define clear, detailed and accurate inventory reports.

    Additional Information: This role will require 30-40% travel to other manufacturing facilities, company, and industry events at first. This role may also require travel, both domestic and internationally.
